On March 8, people around the world celebrate International Women’s Day – an opportunity to acknowledge women’s achievements and press for gender parity.
Events held in support of International Women’s Day are happening across campus in early March.

Elder Jan Sherman will discuss relevant topics around the sacredness of women through the sharing of traditional Anishinaabe Teachings. - GenEQ International Women’s Day Breakfast for Faculty and Staff

All faculty and staff are invited to a continental breakfast in celebration of International Women’s Day, hosted by the GenEQ advisory committee. - International Women’s Day Noon Hour Concert: LIZA

Toronto-based R&B artist, LIZA performs a special noon hour concert for International Women’s Day. - GenEQ tables in the University Centre

Drop by and learn about the GenEQ: Advancing the status of women at U of G initiative. Students from the GenEQ advisory committee will be available to answer questions and hand out stickers. - Research and Revolt Conference

U of G’s Research Facility for Women’s Health and Wellbeing will be holding the fourth annual two-day interdisciplinary conference to showcase innovative research related to women and girls.
