U of G’s Controlled Environment Systems Research Facility (CESRF) was featured in the Globe and Mail Oct. 1.

CESRF is home to the Space and Advanced Life Support Agriculture program, which has been at the forefront of efforts to grow plants in hostile environments without an atmosphere.

The story talked about how the research facility — run by director and U of G professor Mike Dixon — is one of a few innovative agriculture projects that could help feed a growing world population as arable land becomes more scarce.
