U of G Prof. Mike Dixon has been in the news discussing the science behind growing legal cannabis.

On Oct. 17, Dixon appeared in Nature talking about the importance of improving and honing the science behind legal cannabis production.

In an Oct. 15 BNN Bloomberg article,Dixon, a professor in U of G’s School of Environmental Sciences, talked about how many farms in Leamington, Ont. — a centre for tomato-growing — are moving into cannabis production. He said those farms have the technical expertise and resources to handle a highly regulated agricultural sector like cannabis.

Dixon is director of the Controlled Environment Systems Research Facility at the University of Guelph.
