Prof. Evan Fraser

Prof. Evan Fraser, Geography, and scientific director of the recently announced Food From Thought project, was interviewed by Radio-Canada International Sept. 14. He discussed the announcement of Canadian government funding of nearly $77 million for University of Guelph researchers to use high-tech information systems to help produce enough food for a growing human population while sustaining the Earth’s ecosystems. Fraser is director of the Food Institute at the University of Guelph and founder of the Feeding Nine Billion project,which is intended to spark discussion through social media and in high school classrooms about feeding the Earth’s ballooning human population.
