Two town hall meetings have been set to update the U of G community on ongoing issues including strategic planning, vice presidential searches and the University’s budget.
The first meeting will be March 19 in the University Centre, Peter Clark Hall. The second is set for March 20 in the McLaughlin Library, Robert Whitelaw Room.
Both sessions will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
The town hall gatherings are intended to give members of the University community an opportunity to ask questions and offer feedback and suggestions.
The sessions will be hosted by President Franco Vaccarino and Serge Desmarais, interim provost and vice-president (academic).
The March 19 meeting will be recorded for podcast and available later on the University’s web page.
Finalists for the positions of provost and vice-president (academic) and vice-president (research) gave public presentations to the U of G community in early February, and the search committees accepted written comments and feedback until Feb. 24.
The University’s 2015/2016 preliminary Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities operating budget will be presented at Senate April 6 and to the Board of Governors on April 16.
