U of G Profs Featured on TVOKids Program 

Several professors from the University of Guelph are featured in a newly launched show on TVOKids. The program, called Burps, Butts and Bones, takes kids on a journey through the wonders of the human body. 

Dr. Emma Allen-Vercoe, professor in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, appeared in the premiere episode to discuss gut microbes. 

Dr. Lisa Duizer, professor in the Department of Food Science, taught viewers about taste and flavour. 

Dr. Jamie Burr, professor in the Department of Human Health Sciences, appeared in an episode on skating.

Dr. Jess Haines, professor in the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition, shared healthy recipes and the health benefits of vegetables.

Dr. Philip Millar, professor in the Department of Human Health Sciences, taught viewers about exercise and heart rates.

Episodes air on Saturdays at 8:55 a.m.
