Prof. Kristin Andrews, York University, studies the nature of social cognition, and examines human social relations and the relationships among and between animals of different species. She has published research on chimpanzee mindreading, animal belief, normativity in nonhuman animals, the methodology of animal cognition research, and the ethical implications of the cognitive, cultural, social and emotional lives of other animals. She is the author of the Stanford Encyclopedia entry on animal cognition.
