The Rt. Hon. Bob Rae is the keynote speaker for the Luminary Leader Speaker Series. His personal and professional achievements include:

• Successfully serving as Ontario’s 21st premier from 1990 to 1995.
• Participation in negotiations that resulted in the inclusion of Aboriginal rights in Section 35 of Canada’s Constitution in 1982.

• His leadership contributions as senior advisor with the Castlemain Group, which provides industry-leading advisory services to First Nations focused on management, finance, technology solutions and strategic communications.

• His development of the “Statement of Relationship,” which set the framework for a new political relationship based on mutual respect and consultation between First Nations and the province.

• Writing numerous books, including From Protest To Power, The Three Questions, Canada in the Balance, Exporting Democracy and his most recent, What’s Happened to Politics?

Rae was also recognized as Parliamentarian of the Year and was twice named Orator of the Year.
