The Leadership Call to Action Speaker Series showcases business and social-entrepreneurial leaders whose professional efforts have created social change. Attendees of the Leadership Call to Action event will be asked to commit to a change in their daily lives, no matter how insignificant, that will create social change in their organization or community.
This year, the College of Business and Economics welcomes global humanitarian, best-selling author and founder of War Child, Dr. Samantha Nutt.
She has worked with children and their families at the frontline of many of the world’s major crises, from Iraq to Afghanistan, Somalia to the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Sierra Leone to Darfur, Sudan. A leading authority on current affairs, war, international aid and foreign policy, Nutt is one of the most intrepid and recognized voices in the humanitarian arena and is among the most sought-after public speakers in North America. Her career has spanned more than two decades and dozens of conflict zones, benefiting hundreds of thousands of war-affected children globally.
