This year, U of G’s annual common reading project – Gryphons Read – celebrates its ninth iteration. This year’s novel is Frying Plantain by Zalika Reid-Benta.

Gryphons Read is a campus-wide book club that brings the University community together over a selected novel and encourages meaningful conversations about the book.

On Tuesday, September 23 at 7:00 PM at the McLaughlin Library’s Whitelaw Room 246, Zalika will be on campus for a public talk about her book in conversation with Lawrence Hill. Register for this public event!
