Guelph Campus Closed Due to Severe Weather 

 
Due to the overnight snowfall accumulation, the University of Guelph campus is closed on Sunday, Feb. 16. All campus events have been cancelled.  

Campus will remain closed for the day and reopen at 6 a.m. Monday, Feb 17. Please note that on Monday, U of G campus facilities will operate under holiday hours on Family Day. For more information, please read What’s Open at U of G on Family Day 2025

Please note: For on campus dining options UC Chefs Hall is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Eastside Variety is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All other locations are closed.

Students, faculty and staff at the Ridgetown campus and at the University of Guelph-Humber are encouraged to monitor their respective websites for information on their campuses.  

Impact on Campus  

Only those employees designated as essential workers per the Inclement Weather/Emergency Closing policy are expected to report to work on site.  
  
All University buildings, labs and facilities are closed except for emergency services (Campus Safety Office and Fire Safety).  
  

This Closure Extends to:  

  • Library 
  • University Centre 
  • All athletics and recreation facilities 
  • Ontario Veterinary College clinics (emergency service is still available) 
  • All other campus buildings and labs 

 Remaining Open for Service:  

Residence Service Desks including: 

  • East (located in Dundas Hall) 
  • North (located in Lennox/Addington Hall) 
  • South (located in Prairie Hall)
