The University of Guelph and CUPE 3913, the union that represents teaching assistants, graduate service assistants and sessional lecturers, have both ratified the tentative agreement that was reached on March 18, 2024.

The new agreement will be in place until August 31, 2026, and addresses key priorities for both sides, including job security, compensation, equity and measures in support of mental health.

The two parties met a total of 24 times and discussions remained open, respectful and constructive with a strong commitment to reaching a new agreement through negotiations. The new agreement will be available online in the near future.
