The University of Guelph community is mourning the death of Mathew Kyle David Hartman, a student in the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, majoring in Honours Agriculture, within the Ontario Agricultural College (OAC), who passed away December 22, 2023.

A service to celebrate Mathew was held December 30, 2023. Condolences to Mathew’s family may be shared through the funeral home’s website.

Campus flags will be lowered to half-mast on January 12, in Mathew’s honour.
