Today, Environment Canada issued a freezing rain warning for Waterloo Region and Wellington County. The University of Guelph remains open and classes are proceeding as scheduled. We will continue to monitor weather and road conditions.
When a weather event hits and you need to know whether the University is closed, the best information sources are:
- U of G Alert – sign up to receive email, phone or text message alerts from our Critical Incident Notification System
- www.uoguelph.ca
- Local radio
- Instagram: @uofguelph
- Twitter: @uofg
- Facebook: /uofguelph
If the University decides before normal working hours to close because of bad weather or an emergency, every effort will be made to communicate that decision by 6 a.m. The campus switchboard will also have a recorded message.
