Dr. Nita Chhinzer, professor in the Department of Management, spoke to The Globe and Mail about how Canadians are growing more open with employers about their side hustles under the growing cost of living.

Side hustles are a kind of “necessary evil,” Chinnzer said, adding, “there’s an affordability crisis in Canada and the reality is that employers have failings in how much they’re paying employees.”

A professor of human resources in the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, Chhinzer studies strategic human resources management procedures and ethics.
