The Guelph Police Service has made an arrest in connection with an incident that occurred in the Arboretum Oct. 3.

According to a Guelph Police news release issued today, the suspect turned himself in to police. It was originally believed the suspect and victim, who have subsequently been identified by Guelph police as U of G students, were unknown to each other. However, further investigation has revealed that is not the case.

Guelph Police thanked the University of Guelph’s Campus Safety Office for assisting in the ongoing investigation.
