Agribusiness researcher Dr. Simon Somogyi discussed the waning appeal of plant-based meats with CBC News.

“They were all the rage and consumers were curious to try them out, but now they’ve tried them and that fad has sort of worn off,” Somogyi said.

The Arrell Chair in the Business of Food and a professor in the School of Hospitality, Food and Tourism Management, Somogyi researches agri-food value chain analysis and management.
