Sociologist Dr. Ryan Broll discussed bullying prevention efforts in Canada in a commentary for The Hill Times.
Broll said while reports of bullying among youth have decreased since the start of the pandemic, those levels may rise again as social gatherings become more commonplace.
“Now is an opportune time to rethink how Canada addresses bullying and cyberbullying,” he said, urging Canada to adopt a nationwide strategy to better prevent bullying.
A professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Broll researches bullying and cyberbullying, policing and victimization.
