Earlier this week, the provincial government announced that it will remove proof of vaccination requirements as of March 1, 2022.
U of G intends to uphold our COVID-19 Vaccination Policy until the end of the winter semester. In the weeks ahead, the University will review the policy in light of the changing landscape and provide an update in mid-March.
At the University of Guelph, our COVID-19 safety protocols – and our community’s adherence to those protocols – have been instrumental in keeping everyone safe as we returned to our classrooms, labs and workspaces.
The University’s existing COVID-19 safety protocols remain in effect, including the following:
- All those over age 12 who come to our campuses and facilities must be vaccinated.
- Medical-style masks are required indoors and outdoors whenever 2 metres of distance from others cannot be maintained. Mask wearing will continue to be enforced in our buildings and facilities.
- All those coming to our campuses and facilities must complete the U of G COVID-19 Daily Screening Form and follow its direction before arriving. Remember: If you are sick, stay home.
In addition, the University continues to strongly encourage everyone in our community to receive a booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
