The Chancellor Selection Committee has finalized the position profile for the University of Guelph’s tenth Chancellor. The position profile was carefully crafted to reflect feedback from the University community and articulates the desired background, experience and personal qualities of the next Chancellor. The Committee invites you to read the profile and reflect on potential candidates for the position of Chancellor who exemplify the attributes and characteristics described.

All U of G community members are invited to nominate potential candidates through an online survey. Feedback and nominations may also be submitted via the committee’s confidential email: universityappts@uoguelph.ca.

As the ceremonial head of the University, the Chancellor fulfills a range of duties, including sitting on both the Board of Governors and the Senate. The Chancellor also presides over convocation ceremonies, confers degrees, and plays a vital role as an ambassador for the University and in connecting U of G with the broader community.
