Dr. Deborah Stienstra, a professor in the Department of Political Science, spoke to Canada Tonight on CBC News Network about disability rights as an issue in the current federal election campaign.

Stienstra said the election has seen some discussion about poverty rights and accessibility and each political party has proposed a variety of approaches.

Stienstra holds the Jarislowsky Chair in Families and Work, is the director of U of G’s Live Work Well Research Centre and is the author of About Canada: Disability Rights.
