A research project led by Dr. Eric Nost, a professor in the Department of Geography, Environment and Geomatics and PhD candidate Emily Duncan examining the experience of grocery store workers was featured in the Toronto Star.

The researchers hope to learn more about how grocery story workers are faring and whether they feel safety measures put in place to try to protect them have been effective.

The research is ongoing and Duncan told the Star she hopes to have a report on her findings available to the public by the end of the month and plans to send copies to members of Parliament.
