One of the University of Guelph’s greatest strengths is its people. Each year, we celebrate outstanding staff with the President’s Awards for Exemplary Staff Service to recognize their remarkable contributions. Consider nominating a deserving colleague for these awards!The U of G Gryphon statue

The President’s Awards for Exemplary Staff Service are awarded annually to staff members who have exceeded the expectations of their normal employment responsibilities. Nominate a colleague who you feel goes above and beyond every day.

Employees selected receive $2,000 (less applicable taxes) and are recognized during an annual community event. Teams share the cash prize.

Five award categories are available:

  • Award of Excellence in Wellness, Health and Safety
  • Exemplary Team Recognition Award
  • Hidden Hero Award
  • Innovative Leadership Recognition Award
  • Service Excellence Recognition Award

The deadline for nominations is May 1.

All non-academic full- and part-time U of G staff who have been employed here for at least two years are eligible for the awards. Learn more online.
