Prof. Ross McKitrick with the Department of Economics at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics contributed an editorial this week to the Financial Post about Canada declaring an environmental emergency over climate change.
McKitrick co-authored a new report by the Fraser Institute about how to evaluate the economic cost of carbon taxes versus the costs of climate change.
FP columnist Terence Corcoran offered his comment on the column and the report, as did Toronto Sun columnist Lorrie Goldstein.
McKitrick was also featured on GlobalNews Radio in an episode called “Do carbon taxes work?”
McKitrick studies environmental economics, global warming and taxes on carbon emissions. He is also a senior fellow at the Fraser Institute.
