Following an extensive national search, the University of Guelph will welcome Elaine Fenner as the new director of experiential learning, effective May 6.
Fenner joins U of G from Seneca College, where she was instrumental in advancing and expanding work-integrated learning programming and curriculum.
“Elaine will be an asset to our talented team in the Experiential Learning Hub and to the broader University community,” says Carrie Chassels, vice-provost (student affairs).
“Through consultation and collaboration, she will promote our continued innovation and growth in this critical portfolio.”
Fenner has 25 years of post-secondary experience in student success, co-operative education and work-integrated learning.
“This background will serve as a solid foundation for her future success as a leader of experiential learning at U of G,” says Chassels.
Fenner says, “I am genuinely excited to join the University of Guelph and to work with the EL Hub team and those across the University to improve life through experiential learning.”
Chassels also thanks the search committee for their time and thoughtful input.
