On Jan. 30, Canadians will come together to get people talking and help break down the stigma around mental health through Bell Let’s Talk Day.

With support from Bell Canada, applicable texts, calls and social media interactions will help raise funds for mental health initiatives. Gryphons are getting involved on campus, too.

  • Support wall – Visit the University Centre courtyard from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and sign our canvas wall with your message of support. Take a picture at the wall and share it on social with #UofGMentalHealth #BellLetsTalk.
  • Be part of the mental well-being conversation – Learn more about mental well-being resources and supports from Student Wellness. Take part in fun activities like colouring mandalas and sharing messages of hope to promote conversations on mental well-being. Activities are happening across campus at:
    • University Centre courtyard
    • McLaughlin Library
    • Lennox-Addington Hall
    • Mountain Hall (South Residence)
    • East Residence
    • School of Engineering
    • Business Career Development Centre
  • #IStand video – Watch and share U of G’s short Bell Let’s Talk video to help raise funds.
  • Make a difference for U of G students – Want to donate to make an impact right here on campus? Visit the Mental Health and Well-Being Fund page to make a direct contribution to support on-campus initiatives.
  • Your words matter – The words we use can make all the difference. Educate yourself on respectful language choices for discussing mental health.

Take a stand against the stigma and show your support during Bell Let’s Talk Day.
