In honour of International Women’s Day (March 8), the Research Facility for Women’s Health and Wellbeing will be holding the third annual one-day interdisciplinary conference to showcase innovative research related to women and girls. Abstract submissions are now being accepted. Students are invited to submit a 250-word abstract for one of two presentation formats:
- 15-minute oral presentation – with slides
- 5-minute oral presentation – max. 3 slides
Submissions are welcome from all U of G students (both graduate and undergraduate). Preference will be given to academic or primary research that is close to completion, and abstracts should make clear the relevance to women’s and girls’ lives.
Please submit your abstracts online by Feb. 1.
All are welcome to attend the free Research and Revolt conference, attendees can come and go as they wish, and the space is physically accessible. The conference will include:
- A keynote address
- Performances by Out Loud (LGBTQ+ musical collective) and spoken-word artists
- Interdisciplinary student research presentations
- Free food (vegetarian options available)
