Prof. Jamie Gruman appeared in a Dec. 12 Huffington Post article about how to survive spending the holidays with difficult relatives.
A professor in the Department of Management, Gruman has previously written about this topic in The Conversation. He discussed tactics for dealing with difficult people, including recognizing the source of annoying behaviour and establishing boundaries.
Gruman was also featured in a special edition of TIME magazine on habits. He talked about the benefits of exergames and how research shows they can provide a low to moderate workout.
He studies positive organizational behaviour and the impact of resilience, hope and optimism. He also just published a book titled Boost: The Science of Recharging Yourself in an Age of Unrelenting Demands.
