Prof. Dave Guyadeen did a series of CBC Radio interviews across Canada on Dec. 4, talking about a new study he co-authored on climate change and municipal planning.
The study, “Evaluating the Quality of Municipal Climate Change Plans in Canada,” looked at plans for 63 of the country’s most populous communities and found that most lacked concrete strategies to adapt to environmental changes linked to climate change.
Guyadeen, a professor in U of G’s School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, researches rural planning and development. He examines and evaluates plan development and implementation.
