Guelph Hillel presents Holocaust Education Week 2018 from Nov. 4 – 9 at U of G. Events throughout the week encourage our community to reflect on the atrocities of the Holocaust.

Cattle Car Exhibit – all week

An interactive exhibit will be featured in a cattle car installed in Branion Plaza. This replica of a railcar used to transport Jews to labour and concentration camps during World War II Cattle car on display in Branion Plazaincludes images, multimedia and stories.

Holocaust Survivor Speaker: Elly Gotz – Nov. 8

Holocaust survivor Elly Gotz will speak Nov. 8, beginning at 6 p.m. in the University Centre’s Peter Clark Hall. All are welcome. Copies of Gotz’s memoir will be available for 200 attendees.

Shabbat Dinner, Transforming History: The Power of One  – Nov. 9

An open Shabbat dinner will be held Friday evening in Peter Clark Hall, beginning at 7 p.m. All are welcome for this free dinner. Registration is required.
