Prof. Mike Dixon, School of Environmental Sciences, is quoted in an Aug. 6 CBC news story on the growing of legal cannabis and possible effects on the home environment.
Dixon is the director of U of G’s Controlled Environment Systems Research Facility. He studies ways to improve cannabis plant production by determining lighting and soil conditions to enable producers to grow different varieties of the plant. In 2017, he published what is believed to be the first scientific paper in North America on the topic.
