Prof. Jamie Gruman

Prof. Jamie Gruman was interviewed for a July 23 NBC News story about how open office plans might hinder productivity.

A professor in U of G’s Department of Management, Gruman offered tips on how to cope if you’re working in an open concept office.

Taking a break, getting some alone time, wearing headphones and making sure to talk to colleagues face to face rather than just via email were his tips.

Gruman studies well-being in the workplace and positive organizational behaviour, involving hope, optimism, confidence and resilience among employees.
