Prof. Sean Lyons appeared in a March 1 Globe and Mail article about high school students and career planning.

A professor in U of G’s Department of Management, Lyons talked about how high school students are pushed to make major career decisions that they might not be ready to make. He said students often choose a career or post-secondary path based on the courses they excel at in high school. He said students may benefit from exploring their options before locking in to one academic program or career.

Lyons has been working on a study with the Ontario School Guidance Association to learn how young people make decisions about their careers and who guides them.
