A U of G professor is featured in a new CBC Nature of Things documentary, Myth or Science: The Power of Poo, premiering at the Ontario Science Centre.

Prof. Emma Allen-Vercoe, who is world-renowned for her research on the microbial world inside the human gut, was interviewed for the doc. The film looks at real-life experiments using human waste and explores whether poo has the power to revolutionize human health.

A professor in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Allen-Vercoe will attend the screening March 31, 4 p.m., to answer audience questions.

The doc screening is part of a collaboration between CBC’s The Nature of Things and the Ontario Science Centre to encourage public dialogue about science.
