Around the globe, people are preparing to celebrate International Women’s Day, an opportunity to recognize the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, and to strengthen the call to action for gender parity.

“The University of Guelph is committed to equity and inclusion for all women,” says Charlotte Yates, provost and vice-president (academic).

“We join with the United Nations in its declaration that ‘The Time is Now’ to transform women’s lives. We are committed to building robust systems and processes and a vibrant culture in which women can take their place as equals across all of our campuses. We also pledge our support for women and their allies around the globe in the struggle to empower women and uphold their rights as equals.”
