The first class of graduands to receive their hoods in the new Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre’s event centre will cross the stage Feb. 20.

 The new location for convocation – held variously over the past decades in War Memorial Hall, in the Field House and on Johnston Green – was selected after surveying graduating students and asking what was most important in their convocation memories. The overwhelming response was the ability to share the day with family and friends.

 U of G’s spacious new event centre allows students to invite more guests to share in this momentous occasion. The event centre also offers better accessibility for graduates and guests.

Convocation ceremonies in the event centre will maintain that special U of G feel that graduates and their families appreciate. This is a significant event for U of G grads, and the convocation team is working hard to make it a day that grads and their guests will always remember.

Winter convocation receptions will be held in Rozanski Hall.
