The Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s online publication All About Birds featured Prof. Ryan Norris on Jan. 8 talking about his research on the decline of gray jays in Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario.

Norris, a professor in the Department of Integrative Biology, talked about factors contributing to a halving of the gray jay population in Algonquin Park since 1977. The in-depth article featured photographs and a video documenting Norris and graduate students Alex Sutton and Nikole Freeman as they conducted field research in the forest.

Norris is an ecologist who studies behaviour, conservation and evolution of migratory animals.
