Come out for lunch and a laugh at the tenth anniversary of College Idol!

On Oct. 31, College Idol – U of G’s annual United Way talent show fundraiser – entertains in Peter Clark Hall with performances by U of G faculty, staff and students.

Enjoy lunch, appearances from memorable celebrity judges and door prizes. During the event, judges will award prizes for best group and individual costumes.

What makes College Idol so much fun? Event organizer Jennifer Beehler, Department of Geography, says, “I love this event because it brings the campus community together to enjoy the spirit of Halloween, the talent of U of G and a good old-fashioned laugh!”

Bring your toonies and use them as ballots to vote for your favourite acts. Can’t make the show? Voting boxes will be available around campus through November. When the campaign closes on Dec. 1, the act that has earned the most in donations will be crowned the College Idol winner.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the show starts at noon. Tickets are on sale in the University Centre Oct. 19, 20 and 23 for $13 each or buy a table of eight for $11 per ticket. All proceeds support the University of Guelph’s United Way campaign.
