College of Biological Science visiting scientist Jason Tetro recently wrote a Huffington Post Canada article on how to stop a pandemic flu outbreak. He said vaccinations are key to preventing the spread of viruses such as H1N1 and H7N9. Tetro, a U of G graduate, is a microbiologist who studies emerging pathogens such as SARS, avian flu and the Zika virus.
