Michelle Fach was elected president of the Canadian Association of University Continuing Education (CAUCE) for 2016-2017 at the group’s annual conference in Waterloo in early June.

A professional organization of academics, administrators and practitioners at 54 institutions, CAUCE aims to extend continuing education to diverse audiences.

“Changing demographics, demand for greater flexibility, and the role that technology plays in teaching and learning are fundamentally changing the role of universities, making this an important time for university continuing education,” Fach said.

At U of G, OpenEd provides classroom technical support, continuing and distance education, English language programs, teaching and learning technologies, and educational and faculty development.
