 One Species a Day – Every day on his blog, biologist Dirk Steinke introduces readers to a new plant or animal they’ve never heard of. Each entry gives high-level, interesting facts about the species and includes a “For the experts” section that gets into the nitty-gritty scientific details. A great read for those looking to broaden their knowledge of cool critters, and those hoping to improve their at-home Jeopardy! scores.

 

Kate-In-Kathmandu  and Our-Nepal-Love – Follow tumblr accounts by Leave for Change volunteers Kate Jenkins and Veronica Ward for an up-close and personal journey through Kathmandu. Full of gorgeous photos, interesting insights and encounters with earthquakes, their entries give you a real flavour for life in Nepal.
