The University of Guelph will host the 38th annual Guelph Sexuality Conference, Canada’s largest and longest-running sexual health forum, June 23 to 24.
Featured lecturer for the event will be Dr. Marla Shapiro, a well-known Canadian medical doctor and a health journalist for CTV and The Globe and Mail.
The conference will bring together several hundred researchers, health-care workers, therapists, students, social workers and other health professionals from across North America.
This year’s conference theme is “Pleasure.”
Plenary speakers will address sexual health, well-being and the politics of sexual pleasure.
Shapiro will discuss HPV immunization and enhanced disease and cancer prevention Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
Other sessions both days will address topics from sexually transmitted infections to sexual assault to educational programs to HIV prevention.
