Two School of Environmental Design and Rural Development professors will share their experience and skills outside of Guelph over the coming year.
Prof. Wayne Caldwell, interim dean of the Ontario Agricultural College, is a member of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities commission on global food security.
The commission aims to address growing domestic and global food security challenges and ensure universal food security by 2050. It’s expected to issue a report in early 2017 with recommendations for universities to help meet these challenges.
An article co-authored by Caldwell in Plan Canada, the quarterly magazine of the Canadian Institute of Planners, was named 2015 article of the year.
Prof. Harry Cummings was elected president of the Canadian Evaluation Society for 2016-18. With 1,800 members across Canada, the society is intended to advance evaluation theory and practice.
Both Caldwell and Cummings are full-time U of G faculty members.
