Following renovations to the Ontario Veterinary College’s (OVC) Companion Animal Hospital, clients can now use the new entrance to the hospital, including those with after-hours companion-animal emergencies.

The new space features an enhanced customer service area, more seating, a billing window and a waiting area for clients and pets that require a quiet space. Patient drop-off and metered parking spots are available at the front of the hospital.

Clients of the Animal Cancer Centre will continue to use its front entrance, and parking is still available in front of the building.

Stephanie Nykamp, associate dean, clinical programs, thanked those who helped ensure that client service and patient care remained a priority during the renovations.

“The main reason for these renovations is to enhance the experience of staff, students, clinicians and clients to OVC’s Health Sciences Centre,” she says. “I’m very pleased to hear so much positive feedback for these initiatives.”

Once the move to the new space is complete, renovations to the Large Animal Hospital reception area will begin.
