Erin Houle, a fourth-year landscape architecture student at U of G, has been selected to play for Team Canada at the 2015 Field Hockey Indoor World Cup. The tournament will be held in Germany from Feb. 4-8.
Houle, a 2013 All-Canadian and 2014 Ontario University Athletics (OUA) All-Star, is coming off a broken hand that prevented her from playing with the Gryphons in the OUA and Canadian Interuniversity Sport field hockey championships in 2014. Her hand is now healed and she is ready to get back into action.
“I am really happy to have been selected to this team. Getting to compete at the international level alongside girls who have so much experience is very exciting, and will be an excellent opportunity for me to improve both my indoor and outdoor game,” she said.
Also joining the roster is Guelph alumna Angela Lancaster, who played for the Gryphons from 2005-2010.
