Hatching the Cowbird’s Egg: The Creation of the University of Guelph, a book commemorating the University’s 25th anniversary in 1989, is now available as an e-book through the Internet Archive.

Written by David Murray, a retired U of G history professor and former dean of the College of Arts, and published by the University of Guelph, the book chronicles the formal creation of the university in 1964 and the contributions and obstacles faced by those involved in the transformation of three colleges into a university.
