When a winter storm hits and you need to know whether the University of Guelph is open before setting off for school or work, the best information sources are U of Guelph’s website and local media.

If the president decides to close the University because of bad weather or an emergency before normal business hours, every effort will be made to communicate that decision by 7 a.m. via a bulletin on this website. The information will also be communicated to local radio and television stations and to local newspapers.

The campus switchboard will also have a recorded message. More information is available online in the University’s Hazardous Weather / Emergency Closing Procedures.

If you require snow removal for accessibility, please contact the Physical Resources department by email at snow@pr.uoguelph.ca.
