The Human Rights and Equity Office (HREO) recently released a report outlining its achievements and challenges over the last three years. The report is available on the HREO website.

“The HREO report reflects the collective work of all members of the University community in making the University of Guelph a welcoming and inclusive place for living, learning and working,” said Brenda Whiteside, associate vice-president (student affairs), who was interim HREO director from January 2012 to May 2013.

“It was a pleasure working with a team of such dedicated individuals,” said Whiteside. “I look forward to the continued exemplary work of HREO under the new leadership of Jane Ngobia.”

Ngobia began a five-year term as HREO director on May 15. She came to U of G from a position as director of diversity and equity initiatives at the Ontario College of Art and Design University.
