Undergraduate student Mark Henry was honoured last month by Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) as 2012 national champion in lightweight men’s single rowing for both the seniors and under-23 age groups.

Henry competed for Canada last summer in the world under-23 championships held in Lithuania, and was honoured during RCA’s national conference held in Vancouver in January.

Originally from Brampton, Ont., he is a member of the Guelph Rowing Club and the Gryphon men’s team. Captain in 2012, Henry led the Gryphon men by winning two silver medals at the Canadian university Rowing Championships.
