The research communications unit in the Office of Research brought home three awards from the annual Canadian Farm Writers Federation conference held last week in Winnipeg.

The group won gold in the general periodical category for the 2011-2012 Agri-Food Yearbook, which highlights research achievements related to the University of Guelph-OMAFRA agreement. As well, SPARK student writers Joey Sabljic and Natalie Osborne won silver and bronze awards, respectively, in the television news reporting category for two of their SPARK*air YouTube videos.
